Why Subscribe?

Why not? PBS FM is a not-for-profit co-operative that is largely run by unpaid volunteers. We receive no government income nor industry donations and we rely on listeners like you to help with our running costs. The best way to do this is by becoming a subscriber.

The Benefits

  • PBS subscriber card and discounter directory that entitles you to discounts from loads of retail outlets, bookshops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants, record stores and more – plus discounts at PBS concerts and events.
    • As an aside, Gary incessantly uses his subscriber card at the Nova Cinema in Carlton ($3 off the regular adult price).
  • Your PBS subscriber card also allows you to enter any giveaway on PBS! (and we have quite a few giveaways on the show).
  • Your copy of our programme grid (so you can remember when our show is on).
  • A bumper sticker. Yes, as corny as that is, use it to display your support as you drive/ride across Melbourne.

Types/Costs of Subscriptions:

Here are a few that Screaming Symphony listeners may be interested in. All of these are annual.

  • Youth ($25): For you or the under 25 year old in your life. All young 'uns get a PBS Pack with subscriber card, sticker, program guide and discounter book.
  • Concession ($35): For anyone with bona fide concession status, benefits as above plus a CD.
  • Supporter (Adult) ($70): For gainfully employed types. A PBS Pack plus a CD.
  • Benefactor ($95): That little bit extra gets you a PBS Pack, CD and a piece of PBS merchandise (T Shirt, Beanie…).
  • Band ($110): All the benefits as a PBS Supporter to share with your band mates, plus your band name mentioned on your nominated show once a week as well as discounts on PBS Studio Services and Sponsorship Deals.
  • Patron ($165): Become a patron to your fave PBS show and get a PBS pack, two CDs, a piece of merch plus a PBS Benefit Gig Pass which gives you free entry to all PBS benefit gigs for a year!
  • Business ($220): A PBS Pack and a CD, plus your logo and a 100 word entry on PBS Website, and major discounts on PBS Sponsorship Campaigns.
